Matthew T. Bounds
Matthew T. Bounds, 75 of Mt. Lookout, died Feb. 4, 2014.
Funeral services were conducted Feb. 8, 2014, at the Glen Ferris Apostolic Church at Glen Ferris, with Pastor Aaron Bounds and Pastor David Bounds officiating. Burial followed in Restlawn Memory Gardens at Victor.

Pearlie Ann Rakes Bryan
Pearlie Ann Rakes Bryan, 89, formerly of Oak Hill, died Feb. 2, 2014, in Bossier City, La., following a long illness.
Born April 8, 1924, in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late John Posey and Fannie Grace Adkins Rakes. She also was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Whitt; her second husband, James Bryan; and 10 brothers and sisters.
Pearl was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving: her children, Nancy Pat Whitt Smith of Bossier City, La., who was her caregiver and with whom she made her home, James Whitt and his wife, Kristy, of Marshall, Texas, Grace Ann Bryan Bowen and her husband, Bruce, of Fredericksburg, Va., and Cynthia Bryan Canterbury and her husband, Larry, of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Randy Smith and wife Darla, Richard Smith, Eric Smith, Sonia Hartsfield and husband Tony, Julie Whitt, Kevin Whitt, Morgan Whitt, Michele Hammerle and husband Derek, Laci Nicholas and husband Mark, Leigh Ann Grim and husband Allen, Tara Bowen and Devin Bowen; brother, Charles Rakes and wife Betty of Strasburg, Ohio; sister, Deanne Robinson and husband Calvin of Republic, Ohio; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ambrose and Kitty Bryan of Oak Hill; sister-in-law, Loretta Rakes of Oak Hill; 17 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A committal service was held Feb. 7 at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, with Father Roy Crist and Father Rick Rutledge officiating.
