Paulette ‘Polly’ Stover Williams

Paulette “Polly” Stover Williams, 66, of Clear Creek, died June 8, 2013, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born Dec. 13, 1946, at Clear Creek, she was the daughter of the late Wilburn and Bessie Ewings Stover. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred B. Williams, and brothers, Wilburn Hubert Jr. and David Hubert.

Polly was a caregiver and also worked at Kellys Corner at Pax.

She was the Christian faith, loved to play cards, read, pitch horseshoes and spending time with her family.

Surviving: her son, Mike Williams of Clear Creek; her grandchildren, Caressa Williams Browning, Derek Chance Williams, Phoenix Michael Williams and Aaron David Williams; her great grandchildren, Zoey Jade Williams and Zaiden River Williams; her loving caregivers, loving daughter-in-law, Vickie Williams and spouse David Williams; her brother, Bronston Lee Stover of Beckley; her sisters, Aline Williams of Artie, and Evetta Williams of Beckley; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services with be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at the Ewings Creek Community Church with Becky Maynor officiating. Burial will follow beside her husband, Winfred, on her home property.

Friends may call at the Ewing Creek Community Church on Thursday, June 13, one hour prior to services.

Everett Richard Willis

Everett Richard Willis, 70, of Oak Hill, died June 8, 2013, at Plateau Medical Center.

Born May 29, 1943, at Hico, he was the son of the late Everett Dow Willis and Velva Ann Robinson Willis. He also was preceded in death by his youngest son, Daniel “Danny” Willis.

He retired from the U.S. Navy as a senior chief.

He was retired from General Ambulance Service as its maintenance supervisor.

Surviving: his companion of 23 years, Adrian Goff of Oak Hill; children Sandy Phillips of Gatewood, Diana McMillion of Oak Hill, David Goff and his wife, Angie, of Fayetteville, Steven Bailey of St. Johns, Ariz., Jodi Tregembo of Portsmouth. Va., David Willis of Chesapeake, Va., and Rick Willis of Melton; one brother; three sisters; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was June 12 at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with Rev. David Edwards officiating. Burial followed in High Lawn Memorial Park.
