Margot Cottle Matherly

Margot Ann Cottle Matherly, 77, of Ravenswood, died March 3, 2012, at Cabell-Huntington Hospital, Huntington, following an extended illness. 

Born Nov. 3, 1934, at Fayetteville, she was the daughter of the late Robert Marcellus and Velva McCormick Cottle. She also was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy McCowan; and brother, Robert Lee “Bobby” Cottle.

Margot was a member of Praise Cathedral Church. 

She grew up at Dempsey and graduated from Fayetteville High School.

She loved collecting antiques and even had her own shop, Margot’s Antiques, during the ’70s. She also loved to travel and spend time with her family.

Surviving: her husband of 57 years, Richard T. Matherly of Ravenswood; son, David R. Matherly and wife Debbie of Quincy, Pa., and granddaughter Kaysi; daughter, Dianna L. Matherly and husband Victor of Truro, Mass., and grandson, Tristan; niece, Debbie Cottle Knisley of Pasadena, Md.; and nephew, Gary Cottle of Merced, Calif.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 8, at the Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home Chapel, Fayetteville, with Rev. Robert Morey officiating. Burial will follow at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville.

Clarence Helman Meredith

Mr. Clarence Helman Meredith of Newnan, Ga., formerly of Pax, died Feb. 24, 2012.

Funeral service was March 7 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, at 470 N. Louisville St., Harlem, GA 30814. Interment was in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown, Ga., with full military honors.

Mr. Segio Moore, 54, of Summerlee, died March 1, 2012.

Memorial service was March 6 at Hand in Hand Mission, 97 Buzzy St., Summerlee.
