Virgle M. Harrah
Virgle M. Harrah, 91, of Media, Pa., died July 29, 2012, in Bryn Mawr Terrace.
Born in Prince, Virgle enlisted in the Marines in 1943 where he served in the Pacific Theatre and the Guadalcanal Islands. He was honorably discharged in 1951 in Philadelphia where he met his wife, Dorthy, who was serving in the Navy.
Virgle worked for many years as an electrical linesman for Davis & Reed in Broomall, Pa.
Virgle enjoyed disassembling and reassembling everything. He enjoyed his four grandchildren and his great-grandson.
He was the husband of the late Dorthy Harrah and father of the late Rebecca Mavity.
Surviving: a daughter, Martha Smith (Robert) of Broomall, Pa.; grandchildren, Kevin Smith (Denise), Jacquelyn Proko (Peter), Laura Halmos (Peter), and Meghan Mavity; great-grandson, Aiden Halmos; and a sister, Elizabeth Epperly of Crow.
Services and interment were private.

Donald Weldon Mullins
Donald Weldon Mullins, 82, of Hilltop, died Aug. 4, 2012.
Born Dec. 30, 1929, at Clay, he was the son of the late Gordon J. Mullins and the late Lenna (Laxton) Mullins Brewer.
Donald is survived by several cousins; his guardian and first cousin, Carol Laxton Gillian of Scarbro; and his extended family of caregivers at Hilltop Center.
Funeral service was Aug. 8 at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with Evangelist Marian Young officiating. Burial followed in High Lawn Memorial Park.

Alice Virginia Matheney Nugen
Alice Virginia Matheney Nugen, 76, of Hilltop, died Aug. 1, 2012, following a long illness.
Born Sept. 25, 1935, at Thayer, she was the daughter of the late Ruffner and Bertie Boyd Matheney. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Nugen, and a son, Marvin Dale Nugen.
Surviving: a son, Allen Gene Nugen of Mabscott; daughters, Debra Lee Burell of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Drema Stoltzfus of Hilltop; sisters, Lucille Adams of Beckley, and Christine Fortuner of Pearisburg, Va.; and three grandchildren.
Services were Aug. 4 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with Pastor Delmas Wolfe officiating. Burial followed in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
