Myrtle Louise Ramsey
Myrtle Louise Ramsey, 79, of Winona, died March 23, 2014, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, following a short illness.
Born March 4, 1935, at Fayetteville, Myrtle was the daughter of the late Giles and Elsie Nutter Akers. She also was preceded in death by her brother, Phillip; sisters, Norma, Fannie, Gay and Racine; and a grandson, Tommy Franklin Ramsey (Petey).
Myrtle was a homemaker for many years, also working in home health. She never knew a stranger and would strike up a conversation anywhere with anyone and always greeted everyone with a smile. She had a heart of gold and a smile that would light up the room.
Surviving: her husband, James Richard Ramsey (Rab) of Winona; son, Floyd Ramsey and fiance Jessie Ward; daughter, Flora Diane Ramsey and husband Tommy of Edmond; son, James Leonard Ramsey and Zana of Winona; daughter, Annette Lynn Ellison and husband John of Edmond; grandchildren, Stephanie Syner, Shelia Carte, JJ Ramsey, Tara Ramsey, Hannah Bollin, Kenny Ramsey, Ricky Ramsey, Nicky Ramsey, John Dillon Syner, Jason Ellison, and Jarred Ellison; and great-grandchildren, Nathan Syner, Allison Syner, Devon Steele, Travis Carte and Delilah Ramsey.
As per Myrtle’s final wishes, there will be no services, and burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Victor.

Deloris June Wood Sharpe
Deloris June Wood Sharpe, 79, of Fayetteville, died March 19, 2014, at Plateau Medical Center.
Born Dec. 9, 1934, at Victor, she was the daughter of the late Carl Livingston Wood and Madeline Alta Pike Wood. She also was preceded in death by her son, Calvin Sharpe Jr.; brothers, Carl Livingston Wood Jr., Corlas Alton Wood, William Ashley Wood, and Milton Lee Wood; sisters, Wilma Moore, Alta Faye Gibson, and Mary Elizabeth Wood; grandson, Randy Lee Thorne; and a great granddaughter.
Deloris loved working in the church, singing with her friends, Juanita Hundley and Johnny Bryant, attending the Faith Builders Worship Center, and helping people.
She and her husband were supporters for the Fayette County Food Bank and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Surviving: her beloved husband, Calvin L. Sharpe Sr.; daughter, Crystal Sharpe of Oak Hill; sons, Roger Sharpe of China Grove, N.C., and Kennith Sharpe of Cherry Hill, N.C.; grandchildren, Jeremy Thorne, Nathan Sharpe, Chastity Sharpe, Justin Sharpe, Christy Williams, Michelle and Theresa Shadriah; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 21 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Rev. Virginia Jefferson officiating. Burial followed at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
