Barber L. Taylor

Barber L. Taylor, 73, of Fayetteville, died March 6, 2013, at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill.

Born April 17, 1939, in Swiss, he was the son of the late Cecil and Rhoda Anna Smith Taylor.  He also was preceded in death by his brother, Cebert Taylor, and his sister, Gloria Crouse.

He was employed by Osborne’s saw mill, and was a member of Jodie First Church of God.

Surviving: his brothers, Robert Taylor of Lizemores, Douglas Taylor of Bramwell, and Mickey Taylor of Fayetteville; sisters, Gladys J. Wise of Fayetteville and Lena Williams of Jodie; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service were March 9, 2013 Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with Rev. Billy Morris, Rev. Jerry Hudson and Rev. Joe Richardson officiating. Burial followed in the Vaughan Cemetery, Vaughan.

Franklin Delano Terry Jr.

Franklin Delano Terry Jr. of Danese died March 10, 2013.

Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at Red Springs Community Church, Red Springs, with Pastor Shirley Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Ennis Cemetery on Backus Mountain, Meadow Bridge.

Friends may call one hour (1 to 2 p.m.) prior to the service at the church.

Wanda E. Treadway Watts

Wanda E. Treadway Watts, 91, of Lakewood, Ohio, formerly of Oak Hill, died March 8, 2013, at Fairview Hospital in Fairview Park, Ohio.

Born April 5, 1921, in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Walter Melvin and Rebecca J. Stevens Treadway. Two sisters, Alma Shumaker and Ruth Schwartz, and three brothers, Melvin Ray, Treadway, Paul Leon Treadway and Bill Burke Treadway, also preceded her in death.

Wanda loved playing Bingo and watching sports.

Surviving: a daughter, Sylvia Arcudia; granddaughter, Lisa Pearsall and husband Peter; and great-granddaughter, Brittany Pearsall, all of Lakewood, Ohio.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Bill Skeldon officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
