Jeffrey Wayne Mullins

Jeffrey Wayne Mullins, 28, of Beards Fork, died March 23, 2012, at Summersville Lake from an accidental drowning.

Born Sept. 17, 1983, at Beckley, he was the son of Allen Good and Sharon Hall Byers.

Jeffrey attended Oak Hill High School and had worked for Smokey’s On The Gorge and Southern Appalachian Labor School.

Jeffrey was a very friendly and kind person who loved to joke around and have a good time with his friends. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing; he was one of those persons who never met a stranger and he always had your back.

Surviving: his parents, Allen Good, and Sharon Byers; his wonderful children, Gabby and Jayden Mullins, and their mom, Heather Wickline of Beckwith; a sister, Melissa Wood of Glen Jean; and numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral service was held March 31 at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with Bishop Sam Calloway officiating. Burial followed in Historic Woods Avenue Cemetery.

Jerry Allen Nibert

Jerry Allen Nibert, 71, of Beards Fork, died March 29, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Charleston.

Jerry was born March 4, 1941, at Beards Fork, the son of the late Harry Long and Effie Reese Nibert. He also was preceded in death by his sons, Randy Lynn Nibert and Wayne Allen Nibert, and by a half-brother, Kenneth Christian.

Jerry was a retired coal miner and proud member of the UMWA.

He loved nature and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Church of God.

Surviving: his wife, Linda Lue Wriston Nibert of Beards Fork; his sons, Jerry L. Nibert of Beards Fork, and Timothy Nibert of Montgomery; his daughter, Tina Lue Nibert of Dunbar; his grandchildren, Lucas Nibert, Ryan Nibert, Jordan Nibert and Abigail Nibert; and his brother, Larry Nibert and his wife, Judy, of Kincaid.

Funeral services were April 1 at the Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Richard Bradley and Rev. Ralph Shupe officiating. Burial followed in High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.
