Steven Lee Bryant

Steven Lee Bryant, 26, of Lookout, died June 21, 2013.

Born June 12, 1987, in Summersville, Steven was the son of Lawrence Homer Bryant and Carla Faye Petitt Bryant of Winona.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles Bryant, and his maternal grandparents, Carl Petitt and Alice Petitt.

He was a member of Keeney’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church of Winona and a stocker for Wal-Mart of Fayetteville.

Surviving: his wife, Mindy Sue Halstead Bryant of Lookout; his son, Bryce Bryant at home; sisters, Lisa, Alexis, Jeannie, Tiffany, Christina, Kylee, and Katelyn, all at home; a brother, Joshua Bryant of Winona; and paternal grandmother, Betty Bryant of Winona.

Funeral service will be 12 noon Thursday, June 27, at Keeney’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Winona with Rev. Mark Secrist and Rev. Joe Shaffer officiating. Burial will follow in the Bryant Family Cemetery on Flanagan Mountain in Winona.

Ralph Crist

Ralph Crist, 85, of Conneaut, Ohio, died June 10, 2013, in Houston, Texas.

Born June 4, 1928, in Ansted, he was the son of the late Henry and Evie Koontz Crist. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Crist; a son, Stephen Craig, who was killed in Vietnam and whose name is on the Wall; and a daughter, Brenda Phillip.

An area resident for the past 50 years, Crist retired in 1984 from Union Carbide.

Surviving: daughter, Wanda Perry of Houston, Texas; sons, Thomas D. (Lillie) Crist of Houston, and Brian (Carrie) Crist of Dade City, Fla.; grandchildren, Eric Perry, Thomas C. Crist, Jennifer Crist, Stephanie Crist, Shanda Warren and Martin Dunn; great-grandchildren, Katrina Perry, Nicholas Warren and Sylvia Warren; sister, Nancy Bryant of Virginia; brothers, Charles Crist of Virginia and Billy Crist of Arizona; and nieces, nephews and more distant relatives.

Funeral services were June 15 at Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Conneaut, with the Rev. George Fink, pastor of the Conneaut First Assembly of God, officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio.
