Chelsey Allison Light

Chelsey Allison Light, 19, of Edmond, WV, died peacefully at home with her family on June 22, 2013, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.

Born Oct. 11, 1993, at Buckhannon, she was the daughter of Craig and Melissa Light of Edmond.

Chelsey was a Christian and a student at West Liberty College.

Surviving, in addition to her parents: brother, Logan Light of Edmond; grandparents, Lancel and Marie Light of Buckhannon, and Steve and Barbara Fultz of Buckhannon.

Funeral services were June 25 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Chaplain Jimmy Mitchell officiating. Burial will be on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Rocky Ford Methodist Church Cemetery at Buckhannon.

John Lewis Massey

John Lewis Massey, 48, of Oak Hill, died June 21, 2013, at Plateau Medical Center.

Born Nov. 13, 1964, he was the son of Annetta Blanche DeLung Massey and the late Jerry John Massey, who passed away in February 2011.

Surviving: his mother, Annetta Blanche (DeLung) Massey of Scarbro; his former wife and mother of his daughter, Kellie (Sears) Massey; daughter, Brittany Renea Massey; and brothers, Jerry D. Massey and wife of Loganville, Ga., Ricky N. Massey and wife Heneritta of Dothan, and Robert E. Massey and wife Lucille of Mossy.

Funeral services were June 26 at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with Rev. Lum Toney officiating. Entombment followed in High Lawn Memorial Park.

Rev. James Thomas Mundy Jr.

Rev. James Thomas Mundy Jr., 77, of Mount Hope, died June 25, 2013, in Lynchburg, Va.

Born Sept. 10, 1935, at Fayetteville, he was the son of the late James Thomas Mundy Sr. and Bernice Eugenia Gentry Mundy. His wife, Frances Sue Crone Mundy, also preceded him in death.

Rev. Mundy was a retired Baptist minister having pastored for 48 years. He served the Bradley Baptist Church for several years and then served at the Sophia First Baptist Church for 25 years.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Surviving: daughters, Kay Ellen Mundy Hornsby and husband James of Forest, Va., Penny Jo Mundy Hutchinson and husband Brian of Lynchburg, Va., Amy Jane Mundy of Mount Hope and Molly Lynn Mundy Lovering and husband Paul of Forest, Va.; sisters, Betty Mundy Burnette of Charleston and Lois Mundy Mahoney of Oak Hill; brother, Joseph Mundy of Fairhope, Ala.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, June 30, at 2:00 p.m. at Sophia First Baptist Church, 222 First Street, Sophia, with Rev. David Sneed and Bob Creed officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill, with military graveside rites by Oak Hill VFW Post #3110.

Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, and at the Sophia First Baptist Church one hour prior to services on Sunday.
