Helen Mae Marshall Payne

Helen Mae Marshall Payne, 92, of Cocoa Beach, Fla., formerly of Oak Hill, died March 5, 2012, at Wuesthoff Hospice House in Rockledge, Fla.

Born April 25, 1919, at Page, she was the daughter of the late Orville E. and Effie K. Bickford Marshall. Her husband, Lacy Payne, and daughter, Sharon Helen Logan, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Payne was a member of the Oak Hill Gospel Tabernacle and a homemaker.

Surviving: sons, Franklin Payne of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Lacy David Payne of Kissimmee, Fla.; brothers, Donald Marshall of Princeton; sisters, Rebecca Swope of Princeton, Jessalyn Bailey of Ceredo-Kenova, and Jewell Burton of Princeton; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were March 11 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Allen Gallimore officiating. Burial was at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.

Hobart Shelton Toney

Hobart Shelton Toney, 86, of Phelps, N.Y., formerly of Oak Hill, died March 6, 2012.

Born Sept. 25, 1925, at Oak Hill, he was the son of the late George W. and Minnie Smith Toney.

Funeral services were March 10 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Lum Toney officiating. Burial was at Bibb Cemetery, Gatewood.

Janice Marie Bolen Williams

Janice Marie Bolen Williams, 87, of Mount Hope, died March 9, 2012.

Born Sept.1, 1924, at Mount Hope, she was the daughter of the late William Wolsie and Elva Brown Bolen. She was the beloved wife of 63 years to the late Darrell “Budgie” Williams; also preceded in death by son, David Williams; twin daughters, Jean Ann and Janet Sue Williams; a grandson, Gregory Williams; a sister, Mary Jo Bolen Stevens; and brothers, Bill Bolen and Fletcher Bolen.

She was a long time active member of the Woodhaven Free Will Baptist Church in Michigan where she sang in a trio and taught Sunday school.

After retiring to West Virginia she made Bradley Free Will Baptist her home church.

She was a devoted homemaker; always there for her family and many friends.

Surviving: children, Darrell Williams and wife Linda, Karen Adams and husband Ken, and Tim Williams and wife Jenny; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild due in May; sister, Lynette Bolen Alderman; brother, Robert Bolen and wife Betty; and sisters-in-law, Sonia Weeks, Shelia Williams, and Sharon Holstein and husband Steve.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Pastor Wayne Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Dock Lively Cemetery, Long Branch. Online condolences may be sent at www.tyreefuneralhome.com.
