Rose (Nancy) Fox
Rose (Nancy) Fox, 61, of Meadow Bridge, died Aug. 20, 2011, following a long illness.
Born Aug. 5, 1950, at Hinton, she was the daughter of the late William and Lula Bryant. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Fox Jr., and a brother, Carl Edward Bryant.
Rose attended Sewell Valley Baptist Church in Rainelle.
Surviving: stepson, Christopher Fox of Lewisburg; brother, William Bryant Jr., and wife Linda of Bluffton, S.C.; sister, Arbutus Persinger and husband Jack of Rainelle; sister, Della Stull and husband Denzil of Marion, Ark.; nieces, Patricia Morgan and family of Fort Richardson, Alaska, Crystal Melloh and family of Marion, Ark., Kelly Smith and family of Piedmont, S.C., Alicia Burns and family of Mechanicsville, Va., and Daenae Liston and family of Richmond, Va.; nephews, Denzil Stull II and family of Little Rock, Ark., and Jason Bryant and family of Richmond, Va.; and two great-nieces and six great-nephews.
Service was Aug. 23 at Wallace & Wallace of Rainelle with Pastor Fred Fryer officiating. Burial followed at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
The family requests that donations of sympathy be made in Rose’s honor to the Doug and Lucy Bowers Hospice House at 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.

Betty Jane Holliday
Betty Jane Holliday, 76, of Mount Hope, died Aug. 15, 2011, at Elyria Memorial Hospital Elyria, Ohio.
Born Nov. 1, 1934, at Glen Jean, she was the daughter of the late Virgil Houston Eans and Goldie Mae Kughn Eans. Betty also was preceded in death by her loving husband, Guy Holliday, on Sept. 1, 2010; sisters, Peggy Bays, Lillian Jones and Patsy Guthrie; and a niece, Kay Naylor.
Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Mount Hope Baptist Temple.
Surviving: nieces and nephews, Barbara Smith and husband Robert, Kathey Maxey, Connie Guthrie, Roger Jones and wife Phyllis, all of Elyria, Ohio, Daniel McKinney and wife Diane of Oak Hill, Dale Jones and wife Virginia of Lochgelly, Charlie Jones of Oak Hill, and Johnny Jones of Lochgelly.
Funeral service was Aug. 19 at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with Rev. Carlyle Blomme officiating. Burial followed in High Lawn Memorial Park.
