Anna Belle Arthur
Anna Belle Arthur, 93, of Gauley Bridge, died Sept. 5, 2012, at Montgomery General Extended Care Unit.
Born March 24, 1919, in Meadow Bridge, she was the daughter of the late William Jennings and Victoria Belle Lilly. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Arthur.
Surviving: her sisters, Avenel Carr of Toledo, Ohio, Ada Livesay of Green Sulphur Springs, and Anice Brogan of Meadow Bridge.
Graveside service was Sept. 10 at the End of the Trail Cemetery, Clintonville, with Rev. Charles Blankenship officiating.

Tim Wiley Holbrook Sr.
Tim Wiley Holbrook Sr., 69, of Oak Hill, died Sept. 4, 2012, at his home.
Born Sept. 22, 1942, at Powellton, he was the son of the late Curtis Everette and Margaret Comer Holbrook.
He was a retired carpenter.
Tim was a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving: his sons, Tim W. Holbrook Jr. and wife Christina, and Brian K. Holbrook and wife Stephanie, all of Oak Hill, Eric Foster of Summersville, and Tim E. Holbrook of South Carolina; daughters, Valena Kidd and husband Kenny of Daytona, Fla., and Ashley Holbrook of South Carolina; brothers, Dock Holbrook, Tex Holbrook, Terry Holbrook and Paul Holbrook, all of Oak Hill; sisters, Judy Jones of Ansted, Jeanie Simmons of Virginia and Ginger Moore or Oak Hill; his grandchildren, Savannah Holbrook, Christopher Long, Mary Holbrook, Gaje Kidd, Haley Kidd, Kaden Kidd and Jamila Foster; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were Sept. 7 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill, with Rev. David Sneed officiating. Burial was at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, with military graveside rites by Oak Hill VFW Post No. 3110.

Gary Alan Massey
Gary Alan Massey, 36, of Kimberly, died Aug. 25, 2012, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was a 1995 graduate of Valley High School where he also played football.
Gary Alan always had a gentle and loving spirit. He enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his girls and family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and his memory will forever be in our hearts.
Surviving: his daughters, Hannah Leigh and Ally Renae Massey of Ohley; his parents, Gary and Becky Massey of Kimberly Marie Schauer of Bim, and Jim Schauer of Gallagher; his brothers, Dale Massey of Trussville, Ala., Todd Ridenour of Hico, and Shane Ridenour of Winfield; sister, Staci Boggs of Victor; and several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceeded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Donna Massey of Ohley.
Service was Aug. 29 at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery, with Pastor Ron Massey officiating. Interment followed in Restlawn Memory Gardens at Victor.
