Nathaniel Vernon Doss

Nathaniel Vernon Doss, 35, of Oak Hill, died April 13, 2014, at his home.

Born Nov. 14, 1978, at Montgomery, he was the son of Vernon Eugene Doss of Gallagher and the late Virginia Rothwell Doss and stepson of Deborah Doss.

He was a construction painter.

Surviving, in addition to his parents: his wife, Carla Elaine Casey Doss; stepchildren, Liam Chavez and Olivia Ostendorf; brothers, Mark Cafego of Montgomery, John Cafego of North Carolina, Jeff Doss of Fayetteville, John Doss of Fayetteville; and a sister, Sara Sears and husband Daniel of Fayetteville.

Funeral services were April 17 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Bill Drennen officiating. He was cremated following the service.

Juanita Young Epperly

Juanita Mae Young Epperly, 92, of Fayetteville, died April 17, 2014, at Fayette Nursing & Rehab Center, Fayetteville.

Born Nov. 24, 1921, at Garten, she was the daughter of the late Vernie McCelland. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Epperly, in 1993, as well as a son, Jerry Wayne Epperly, and brothers, George Young, Ray Young and Harold Young.

Juanita was a homemaker and a member of the Fayetteville Baptist Church.

Surviving: her daughter, Carol Jean Files of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Rusty Gilliam and his wife, Gwenn, of Fredericksburg, Va., Stephanie Cahoon and her husband, Billy, of Suffolk, Va., and David C. Files and his wife, Julie, of Virginia Beach, Va.; several great- and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were April 19 at Huse Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
