Elsie Jane Fisher Mullins

Elsie Jane Fisher Mullins, 83, of Oak Hill, died April 14, 2014, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born July 17, 1930, at Summerlee, she was the daughter of the late Homer E. and Estel Mae Blake Fisher.

Mrs. Mullins was a retired clerk for Fayette County Magistrate Office.

She was a member of the Jones Avenue First Church of God, Oak Hill.

Surviving: children, Madonna Flint and husband Terry of Fayetteville, Carolyn Humphries and husband Charles of Pittsburgh, Pa., Vicki Delaney and husband Donald of Catlettsburg, Ky. and Earl William Mullins Jr. and wife Amanda of Dothan; sisters, Margie Jordan of Virginia and Margaret Bays of Florida; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were April 18 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Father Roy Gene Crist officiating. Burial was at Bays Cemetery at Summerlee.

Robert Ray Newhouse

Robert Ray Newhouse, 60, of Scarbro, died April 15, 2014.

Robert was born June 23, 1953, in Beckwith, son of Vondon Newhouse and the late Alma Lea Mazer Newhouse. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Dalton Newhouse.

Robert loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his grandchildren.

Surviving: daughter, Patricia Newhouse; brother, Joseph Newhouse and wife Tina of Gatewood; sisters, Mary Lee Williamson of Oregon, Jeanie Webb and husband Bob of Oak Hill, Jane Newhouse of Princeton and Donna Newhouse of Prudence; grandchildren, Ashlynn Marie Lilly, Trayton Wade Newhouse, Trustin Wayne Lilly; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Margaret L. Queen

Margaret L. Queen, 88, of Danese, died April 20, 2014, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, following a long illness.

Born Jan. 3, 1926, at Sewell, she was the daughter of the late Lewis A. and Mary E. Atkins Rowe. She also was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Queen; daughter, Vivian J. Liptok; six brothers and five sisters.

Surviving: daughter, Deborah E. Smith of Oak Hill; sons, Timothy W. Queen of Danese, Terry D. Queen of Rainelle, Mark A. Queen of Page and William (Bengie) A. Queen of Danese; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

At her request, there will be no visitation. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
