Lucille Mae Manley Blake

Lucille Mae Manley Blake, 85, of Fayetteville, died March 6, 2014, at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill.

Born Oct. 9, 1928, at Brownsville, Ind., she was the daughter of the late William Emil and Stella Mae Baughn Manley. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Shelbern Lee Blake; son, Robert Lonnie Blake; daughter-in-law, Emogene Blake; brothers, Paul (infant), Earl (infant), Thomas Glen, Francis “Lee,” Walter, Harlow, Ray, William Eugene and Calvin Manley; great-grandson, Jack Walker Redin; and great-great-granddaughter, Florence Irvine.

Mrs. Blake was a member of the Gatewood Brethren Church.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving: sons, Emmel Blake of Ray City, Ga., Thomas “Tommy” Blake and wife Tammy of Saint Marys, Edward “Eddie” Blake and wife Ella of Fayetteville and Delbert Blake and wife Anne of Indialantic, Fla.; daughters, Deloris Mitchem and husband Ellis of Fairdale, Judy Helm of Hopewell, Va., Rose Renkovish and husband Bill of Oak Hill and Melinda Blake of Hopewell, Va.; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Blake; a sister, Virginia Miller of Grafton; 25 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

 Funeral services were March 10 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Robert Pauley, Pastor Scott Lester, Pastor Tom Blake, and Pastor Delbert Walker officiating. Burial was at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.

Mark Caldwell, 63, of Fayetteville, died March 10, 2014.

Mr. Duane “Duke” Calloway, of Mount Hope, died March 3, 2014.

Glenna Fay Hudson Coleman

Glenna Fay Hudson Coleman, 82, formerly of Mount Hope, died at her home in Elkridge, Md., on Feb. 26, 2014.

Born Jan. 10, 1932, at Mount Hope, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Ethel Hudson. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Chester James “Buster” Coleman Jr., who was a son of the late Chester and Veda Smith Coleman of Dothan; sons, Kevin Lee Coleman, John Steven Coleman and Ricky Dean Coleman; daughters, Lois Coleman and Susan Elizabeth Coleman Deithorn; a grandson, Brian; brother, Galen; and sisters, Nona Gay and May.

Glenna was retired from Mariner Nursing Home in Laurel, Md.

Surviving: sons, James M. Coleman Sr. and wife Peggy, Randall N. Coleman and wife Kathy, Timothy R. Coleman Sr. and wife Sue, Charles Bartley Coleman Sr. and wife Jody A. and Leslie W. Coleman; son-in-law, Shane Deithorn; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Glenna also leaves behind many family members and friends in Fayette County. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

At her request, Mrs. Coleman was cremated. There will be no service. Her cremains will be interred beside her daughter and grandson at Pine Grove Cemetery, Mt. Airy, Md.
