Margaret Virginia Pack Callaway

Margaret Virginia Pack Callaway, 72, of Oak Hill, died Aug. 25, 2013, at CAMC-General Division in Charleston from injuries received in an automobile accident.

Born May 21, 1941, at Streeter, she was the daughter of the late James Wilson and Flora Day Meador Pack. Her husband, Harry Mayo Callaway; a grandson, Bradley Kinston; sister, Dorothy Buckland and two brothers, Harold Lee Pack and Jennings Pack, also preceded her in death.

She was a retired cook for Hilltop Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Callaway was a member of the Oak Hill Alliance Church.

Surviving: sons, Randy Eugene Wills and wife Tonya of Fayetteville and Frank Dale Wills and wife Beth Lynn of Colorado; sisters, Betty Keith and husband Don of Fayetteville and Lucindy Farley and husband Clownie of Pax; brother, Sidney Pack of Mount Hope; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Friday, Aug. 30 at 11 a.m. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Albert “Skip” Bowman and Rev. Clarence Grigsby officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill.

Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Thursday, Aug. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Phyllis Gail Sawyers Capps

Phyllis Gail Sawyers Capps, 59, of Jasper, Ala., died Aug. 23, 2013.

Born March 2, 1954, at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, she was the daughter of Charles “Cotton” Sawyers and Betty Jane Wenger Sawyers of Backus Mountain.

Phyllis was always laughing and having fun and was friends with everyone.

Phyllis had worked as a maintenance administrator for AT&T. She was also a graduate of Meadow Bridge High School.

Surviving, in addition to her parents: her husband, Paul G. Capps of Jasper, Ala.; a sister, Vickie Zickafoose and husband L.A. of Backus Mountain; brothers, Darrell Sawyers of Schaumburg, Ill., and Dale Sawyers of Backus Mountain; nephews, Charles Sawyers and wife Kathy of L.I.T.H., Ill., Brian Sawyers of Schaumburg, Ill., Eric Sawyers and wife Jennifer of Layland and Jason Zickafoose and friend Kristen of Backus Mountain; and a niece, Amy Zickafoose and friend Matt of Natural Bridge, Va.

Friends gathered with the family on Aug. 28 at the Wallace & Wallace Chapel in Rainelle. The body will then go back to New Horizon Funeral Home at Dora, Ala., and be buried at New Horizon Cemetery.

West Virginia visitation was conducted by Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle.
