Patti Sue Kesterson, 53, died surrounded by her family, on Sept. 3, 2013, at Hospice of Central Ohio in Newark, following a long, hard-fought battle with metastatic melanoma.

She was an avid baseball fan, and treasured her time spent with her family watching Little League games, and her beloved Cincinnati Reds. She loved to cook dishes and meals of any variety and culture, and adored the smiles that her often loved cuisine brought to faces.

An animal lover, Patti ensured the happiness of her dogs, and loved them as her dear companions.

Surviving, in addition to her husband: her children, Christopher Lee Kesterson of Coshocton, Ohio, Brian Andrew Kesterson of Dublin, Ohio, and Megan Nicole Kesterson of Pataskala; her sisters, Debora Brown of Coshocton, Ohio, Cathy Mason of Westerville, Ohio, Rebecca Tolli of Pataskala, Ohio, and Jennifer (Kevin) Ball of Coshocton, Ohio; her grandchildren, Gavin, Raina, Aiden Kesterson of Coshocton and Grayson Kesterson of Pataskala; three very special women she admired, Courtney Hambell of Dublin, Ohio, and Amber Grove and Brandy Burchett, both of Coshocton; and a very special brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Edna Kesterson of Oak Hill.

A memorial service was held Sept. 9 in the Chapel of Given-Dawson Funeral Home. Donations in Patti’s memory may be made to the James Cancer Center of the OSU Wexner Medical Center, or to Hospice of Central Ohio. An online memorial can be viewed at www.given-dawsonfuneralhome.com
