Paul Anthony Daniel

Paul Anthony Daniel, 45, of Oak Hill, formerly of Maple Fork, died July 1, 2012, at the Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley.

Born Oct. 2, 1966, in Beckley, he was the son of the late William Lacy Daniel Sr. and Elva Rose Tyree Daniel.

He was a general laborer.

Surviving: brothers, Bill Daniel of Prosperity, and William Lacy Daniel Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio; and a sister, Janet McTigue of Tennessee.

There will be no services or visitation.

Wilma Maxine Minor Rice Evans

Wilma Maxine Minor Rice Evans, 77, of Oak Hill, died July 4, 2012, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Born Dec. 20, 1934, at Kaymoor, she as the daughter of the late Theodore and Beulah Dempsey Minor. Sons Ronald Eugene Rice, Larry Keith Rice and Scott Allen Evans also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Evans was a Christian and a homemaker.

Surviving: her husband, Elmer G. Evans; sons, Richard Rice of Princeton, Ky., Billy Rice of Wichita, Kan., Steven Rice of Fort Worth, Texas, and Daniel Evans of Mossy; daughters, Sandra Evans of Summersville, Beverly Toney of Knightdale, N.C., Janet Forren of Minden, Melanie Miller of Oak Hill, Connie Thomas of Minden, Angel Grishaber of Charlotte, N.C., Tammy Jones of Minden, and Christy Thomas of Oak Hill; brothers, Don Minor and Phil Minor, both of Ohio; and 39 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Services were July 7 at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Paul Basham officiating. Burial followed in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill.

Reccie Horrocks Jarrell

Reccie Louise Kirk Horrocks Jarrell, 91, of Scarbro, died July 2, 2012 at home.

Born April 26, 1921, at Chesapeake, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Bessie Blyth Kirk. She also was preceded in death by her husbands, Stuard Horrocks and Irvin Jarrell; brothers, Jack Kirk, James Kirk, Frank Kirk, and Earl Kirk; sister, Emma Bowles; and stepson, Richard Jarrell.

Reccie was a member of the Minden Missionary Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and she loved to fish.

Surviving: sons, Galen Horrocks and wife Sandy of Mossy and Larry Horrocks and wife Mary of Hurricane; stepson, Joe Eddy Jarrell and wife Tona of Winifred; stepdaughters, Norma Lovett and husband Robert of Columbus, Ohio, and Brenda Bacho of Cleveland, Ohio; brother, Gary Kirk of Kanawha City; sisters, Violet Morris of Kanawha City, and Joyce Patton and Betty Tucker, both of Belle; grandchildren, Travis Horrocks and wife Allison of South Charleston and Rebecca Buckland and husband Marshall of Fayetteville; step-granddaughter, Jennifer Hughes and husband Jeff of Kingston; four great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held July 4 at Restlawn Memory Gardens at Victor, with Rev. Ron Richards officiating.
