Upcoming local reunions


Gwinn Reunion — The 60th annual Gwinn Reunion will be held on Sunday, Sept. 4, at Lockbridge. The grounds are located approximately 2 1/2 miles in on Lockbridge Road off of Route 20 near Meadow Bridge. The program will open at 11 a.m., featuring the Lockbridge United Methodist Church Choir, followed by the memorials at 11:50 a.m. The lunch hour will be 12 noon to 1 p.m. The afternoon program will feature the Half Bad Bluegrass Band from 1 to 3 p.m. The Sweet Anointing will be featured from 3 to 4 p.m., followed by the presentation of the awards. Bring a picnic lunch to share. Concessions will also be available for purchase. Everyone is invited to share the day of entertainment, renewing acquaintances and fellowship.



Robertson Family —  The Robertson Family Reunion will be held Labor Day weekend, Sept. 3-4, at the Rifrafters Campground in Fayetteville. There will be a cook out on Saturday at 2 p.m. and dinner on Sunday at 12 noon. Auction and other activities will be held after dinner. Stone-Pauley — The Stone and Pauley Reunion will be held Labor Day weekend (Sept. 3-4) at Hawks Nest Lodge. Everyone is welcome. Please bring a covered dish; dinner will be at 1 p.m.



MHS Class of 1948 — The Montgomery High School Class of 1948 will hold its 63rd class reunion Sept. 16 through Sept. 18 at Hawks Nest State Park. The reunion will begin on Friday evening, Sept. 16 16 at 5:30 p.m. with an open house in the Hospitality Suite, followed by a deli buffet dinner in the banquet room. On Saturday evening, there will be a reception/banquet at 5:30 p.m. in the banquet room. The reunion will conclude on Sunday morning with a breakfast. Wade Reunion — Family and friends of Dewey and Blanche Johnson Wade will meet Saturday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m. at the New River Campground shelter. Pizza will be served, so come hungry. For more information, call Nick at 304-548-6665.
