— DuBois Reunion — The DuBois High School Reunion will be held at Country Inns and Suites, Beckley, on Sept. 3-5. Registration is scheduled to begin Friday, Sept. 3 at 9 a.m. and continue through 9 p.m. There will be a get together Friday night from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. at the Conference Center, Country Inns and Suites. There will be food, music and a fashion show. On Saturday, Sept. 4, registration continues from 9 a.m. Bingo is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. in the Conference Center at Country Inns and Suites. The red carpet will be rolled out at 5:30 p.m., with the banquet scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Tamarack. Following the banquet, there will be a dance from 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Tamarack. Sunday’s church service will begin at 10 a.m. with Pastor Joseph Wallace of Brooklyn, N.Y., in the Conference Center at Country Inns and Suites. Stone-Pauley — The 53rd Stone and Pauley Reunion will be Sept. 4-5 at Hawks Nest State Park, beginning at 1 p.m. each day. Please bring a covered dish.
Minden Reunion — The 30th anniversary of the Minden Reunion will be observed Saturday, Sept. 4 through Monday, Sept. 6. A Saturday get-together on Sept. 4 from 3 to 6 p.m. is planned for early arrivals to socialize with friends, at Minden Community Meeting Center, Inc. in Minden. “Coal miner” beans and corn bread, plus desserts, will be available at no charge. On Sunday morning, Sept. 5, a worship service will be held at 10 a.m. at the Minden Community Meeting Center, Inc. in Minden. Scheduled this year is the Rev. Jack Barker, pastor of the Minden Missionary Baptist Church. At 11 a.m. on Sunday, Minden friends will join together at the Lewis Community Foundation’s Christian Community Center (old National Guard Armory), 469 Central Avenue, Oak Hill, for a buffet dinner at 1 p.m. The charge is $15 per person. Please stop at the information table to sign in and pick up your tickets. On Sept. 6, if you plan to walk on the Minden-to-Thurmond Walk along the Mary Ingles Trail, please meet at 9 a.m. at the Lewis Center. There will be a $5 charge per person, which includes a picnic lunch in Thurmond. The deadline for reservations is Aug. 26. CHS Class of 1960 — The Collins High School Class of 1960 will hold its 50-year class reunion on Sept. 3-4, Friday night at the Scout Cabin and Saturday night at the Lewis Community Foundation’s Christian Community Center. OHHS Class of 1990 — The Oak Hill High School Class of 1990 will hold its 20-year reunion Sept. 3 through Sept. 5. On Friday, Sept. 3, there will be a meet and greet at Smokey’s on the Gorge from 6 until 7 p.m. followed by dinner and group pictures. Dress is casual. A cash bar is located in the restaurant. Dinner and DJ service will be on the lower deck. Class members wishing to take part in the Oak Leaf Festival parade on Saturday, Sept. 4 should meet at High Lawn Cemetery no later than 10 a.m. on Saturday. Children are welcome. The parade is set for 11 a.m., and class members are invited for family fun at Collins Park behind Collins Middle School following the parade for pizza and refreshments. On Sunday, Sept. 5, there will be a service at Life Bridge Church at 10:30 a.m. The church is located across from King Coal Chevrolet. Golf Day at Bridge Haven is planned for Sunday, as well as fireworks at 8:30 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce with Red Devil cake and pnch. Live music will be performed at Oak Hill High School from 1 to 4 p.m., and the Chili Cookoff is set for 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Fayette Institute of Technology (Vo-Tech). Cost for class members is $50 which includes dinner, a 20-year reunion T-shirt for the OHHS Class of 1990, a class photo and a memory booklet. Cost for each additional dinner guest is $20. Also, add an additional $10 for an extra T-shirt, or $13 for an extra XXL shirt. Those who do not RSVP and still wish to attend will not receive a gift packet and will have to pay the non-discounted price for dinner at the door.

Montgomery High Reunion — There will be a Montgomery High School All-class Reunion Saturday, Oct. 2 from 7 p.m. until 12 a.m. at Valley High School, Smithers. All former teachers, graduates and anyone who attended Montgomery High School are welcome to attend. Guests are also included. Cost of the event is still only $5. You may pay at the door on Saturday, Oct. 2.
