The Ben Argento Basketball League in Fayetteville will start its third annual summer basketball program at 6 p.m. on July 7.

Cost is $25 for Ben Argento attendees and $45 for non-enrolled participants.

The Oak Hill Midget Football League will register football players for the 2008 season from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fieldhouse on the following Saturdays: July 5, 12 and 19.

The age groups will be as follows: A-team — 11-12, no more than 165 pounds; B-team — 9-10, 130-pound limit; C-team — 6-8, 90 pounds; and flag — 4-5.

Players who are 12 years old and in the seventh grade can’t weigh over 115 pounds.

Fee is $35. A birth certificate is necessary.

The 4th annual yard sale conducted by the Oak Hill High School softball team will be Friday and Saturday, July 4 and 5 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the parking lot of Dollar General on Jones Avenue. Many items will be available.
