Oak Hill 9-10 stars advance in playoffs

The Oak Hill 9-10-year-old All-Star baseball team finished the first round of the District 4, Pool 1 playoffs undefeated. The locals scored wins against Peterstown (14-2), Sophia (13-3), Upper Kanawha Valley (19-4), Bluefield (19-4), Princeton-America (13-10) and Trap Hill (14-4). All told, they pushed across 90 runs during the six games while holding the opposing teams to only 24 tallies.
The team now advances to round two, which was slated to conclude in Princeton Wednesday night.

In other recent all-star action, Oak Hill defeated Beckley East/West 10-0 in five innings.
Games are being played at the Boomer field. Oak Hill was slated to play Fayetteville Monday and Upper Kanawha Valley Tuesday.
