Trail girls, Oak Hill boys post wins

Midland Trail 61

New Life Christian 30


The Midland Trail girls doubled up New Life Christian 34-17 at halftime en route to the triumph.

Junior Madison Syner had a double-double for the Patriots with 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Abby Sevy and Marissa Workman added 11 points apiece.

New Life’s Rachel Brown led all scorers with 24 points.

Midland Trail (2-1) was slated to travel to Meadow Bridge last night.

Toby Show scored 27 points to lead the visiting Winfield Generals past the Oak Hill boys Tuesday.

Zach Fisher scored 18 points and John Bellomy had 13 for Winfield.

Jalen Jones scored a game-high 28 points for the Red Devils, while Josh Jones added 15 points.

Oak Hill (1-1) plays PikeView Friday in the Bluefield Holiday Tournament.

The Tide rolled into Meadow Bridge Tuesday and took home their first win of the season with a 65-61 victory over the Wildcats.

Blake Brewer led Sherman with 21 points, while Cody Munch had 16 and Corey Smith had 9, all from 3-point territory.

Kyle Judy scored 19 for the Wildcats. Logan Pomeroy added 15 and Marvin Bragg had 10.

Meadow Bridge (0-1) hosts Richwood on Friday night.
