The John A. Flournoy Youth Basketball League will offer a summer basketball camp this year at Midland Trail High School.
The league will hold a camp for boys and girls grades 5-8 on June 25-29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
The registration fee is $60 per camper.

Mountain State University will have several basketball camp for boys and girls in the coming weeks.
The camps will be under the direction of MSU head coach Bob Bolen and assisted by Dave Barksdale, Artis Maddox, Ryan Arrowood, Zane Gilliard and Mike Fowlkes.
Upcoming dates for remaining camps are June 25-29 and July 10-12. There will also be one-hour individual sessions on several days.

Camp director Holly Mauldin has scheduled Mountain State University’s 2012 volleyball camps for 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. July 16-20 for ages 8 to 12; and 9 a.m. to noon July 23-27 for ages 13 to 17. The cost is $100 per camper, and enrollment is limited to 40 campers per session.
The camps will take place in the J.R. Van Meter Gymnasium on MSU’s Beckley campus.
Campers will participate in a variety of activities to develop and improve their volleyball skills. Techniques for conditioning, passing, setting, attacking, blocking and serving will be presented and practiced.
Competition offered at various levels will give campers a chance to practice their skills in game situations. Campers should wear appropriate volleyball apparel, and should bring a water bottle and knee pads each day. All participants receive a camp t-shirt and awards will be presented on the last day of camp.

The Concord University women’s basketball program will host Lady Lion Instructional Basketball Camp June 24-27.
The camp is under the direction of Concord University head women’s basketball coach and the 2012 WVIAC Coach of the Year, Kenny Osborne.

The Concord University men’s basketball program will conduct its annual Mountain Lion Boys’ Basketball Instructional Camp, under the direction of head coach Kent McBride.
