Midland girls trip up West; boys continue WVHIT play

The Class A No. 8 Fayetteville Pirate girls rolled past Oak Hill Monday behind a dominant double-double performance of Jessica Brown. Brown poured in a game-high 26 points and grabbed 18 rebounds.

Avina Sedlock added eight points and seven assists for Fayetteville, while Maddie Pritt scored 11 points. Erica Hogan registered 11 rebounds on the night.

Sarah Kessler paced the Red Devils with 14 points, and Alyssa Barron added eight.

The Pirates (10-4) played Richwood Wednesday, and they host Midland Trail at 7:30 p.m. tonight.

Oak Hill entertains Westside at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8.
