JAMBL stages first cheer-off event

OAK HILL — The Joe Aiello Memorial Basketball League staged its first cheer-off competition at the end of the 2013 season.

Two individuals judged the cheerleaders on a variety of elements including form, spirit, synchronicity, vocal unity, athleticism, stunt difficulty, energy level and overall presentation.

Following are winners:

First place — The Celtics were coached by Angela Keffer (head) and Danielle Blake. Cheerleaders were Myla Williams, Allie Keffer, Haylee Pugh, Breya Blake, Haley Keffer, Kiley Wright, Ashlynn Sumpter, Piper Casto, Carsyn Harris and Riley Gray.

Second place — The Red Devils were coached by Brittany Acord (head) and Kristy Kincaid. Cheerleaders were Halee Jones, Trista Honaker, Jayla Lynch, Kyndall Dooley, Baleigh McNeely, Madison Rowe, Keirston Smith, Brooke Ellison and Brooklynn Shreave.

Third place — The Huskies were coached by Edie Ellison (head), Tifany Kelly and Shawna King. Cheerleaders were Sarah Light, Hope Ellison, Jacqueline Ellison, Morgan Richardson, Nevaeh Kelly, Jenasen Treadway, Alie Tennant, Hannah Lyons, Tabitha Lyons, Sky Tredway and Katey Runyon.
