The John Flournoy Youth Basketball League plans a basketball camp June 24-28 for boys and girls in grades 5-8.
Camp will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. on the first day.

Cost is $60 per camper.
This summer, free golf lessons are being offered at Hawks Nest Golf Course near Gauley Bridge.
Children ages 7 to 12 are taught on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m.
Children ages 13 to 17 are taught on Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Concord University women’s basketball program will host the Lady Lion Instructional Basketball Camp July 14-16.
The camp is under the direction of Concord University head women’s basketball coach Kenny Osborne, who was the WVIAC Coach of the Year in 2003 and 2012.

The popular instructional camp for girls ages 8-18 costs $200 for residential campers and $170 for commuters, which includes meals.
Concord University men’s basketball head coach Kent McBride will hold an instructional basketball camp for boys ages 8-18 July 17-20 at the Carter Center.
The camp will feature thorough instruction on the fundamentals of basketball as well as team play (up to eight players on a team) according to age and individual experience level.
Attendees will have the option to stay in the Concord University dorms or commute to and from the camp each day.
Cost of the camp is $220 for resident campers, which covers camp fees, all meals and the cost of their room. A camper planning to stay overnight should bring casual summer clothes, swim wear, complete practice outfits, socks, tennis shoes, towels, toiletries, pillow, linens for a twin bed, a blanket and spending money.
Those wishing to commute will pay $180. The price includes camp costs as well as meal tickets for lunch and dinner.
Campers should plan to arrive on the first day of camp at noon. Registration will take place in the lobby of the Carter Center between 12 and 1 p.m. The first session will begin at 2 p.m.
