Red Devils seek to solidify state rating

The Oak Hill Red Devils will hit the road Friday for a crucial Class AAA football matchup.

The No. 5 Red Devils will face No. 4 Point Pleasant (5-0) at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Point Pleasant.

Oak Hill (5-0) is coming off a 52-12 dismantling of the Shady Spring Tigers last Friday. For the season, Oak Hill has outscored its opponents 218-88.

Point Pleasant defeated Brooke 35-7 last week. Point Pleasant has outscored its foes 226-56.

In other games Friday:

-- Class A No. 3 Valley (5-0) travels to play co-No. 20 Tug Valley (2-4).

-- Class A No. 13 Meadow Bridge (5-1) seeks to rebound from its loss to Valley by hosting Class AA Mount View (1-4).

-- Class A co-No. 20 Midland Trail (2-3) entertains Class AA Clay (1-4). The Patriots, idle last week, have won two straight following a three-loss stretch to begin the season.

-- Class A co-No. 27 Fayetteville (2-4) entertains No. 4 Moorefield (5-1). The Pirates suffered a narrow 30-25 setback to Man last week, their third straight loss.
