Devils seek top prize in Class AA
In recent years, Oak Hill has become a staple of the Class AA state basketball tournament field.
For the fourth straight season, the second-seeded Red Devils (18-4) will seek to add another championship trophy to the ones won in 1984 and 1989 when they begin tourney play at 1 p.m. today against No. 7 Keyser (13-10).

St. Joseph rolls past MB
Meadow Bridge coach Steve Taylor is normally very animated during a game.
He stands most of the time. He yells, uses body language to convince shots to go in and even does an occasional 360-degree jump and spin.
But early in the third quarter Thursday night in the Wildcats’ 82-25 state quarterfinal loss to Class A No. 1 St. Joseph, Taylor sat down. -

Based on regular season results, Fayetteville (10-7) is the favorite in Wednesday night’s Class A Region 3 co-final against Meadow Bridge (14-6) at Greenbrier West High School. Tip is set for 7 p.m.

Trail seeks first tourney berth since ‘97
Seeking its first boys state tournament berth since 1997, Midland Trail lines up against Iaeger at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Hico in a Class A Region 3 co-final.
