Area sports notices

Local youth sports leagues and schools are making preparations for the fall seasons. Below are some notices for some of those organizations and teams:

Fayette County Youth Soccer Association sign-ups will be July 31 and Aug. 7 at the soccer field from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Fee is $32, and a birth certificate is required.

On July 27 at 6 p.m., there will be a parent/player meeting at Ansted Middle School to go over team rules, answer any questions and try to get all paperwork completed prior to the first day of football practice on Monday, Aug. 9.

Players are asked to bring a completed and properly-signed physical form and be able to provide proof of insurance.

The Collins Middle School football orientation meeting will be held on Friday, Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. at the CMS gym.

Parent or guardian must be with the player at the meeting and must bring a copy of birth certificate.
