Beavers nip Red Devils; Trail, MB win

Hannan 6

Midland Trail held Hannan to three yards of total offense and Jake Grimmett scored three rushing touchdowns (13, 32 and 14 yards) and passed for another score (33) to Devon Steele as Midland Trail rolled past Hannan Friday.

Evan O’Dell had a 36-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown, while Paul Cooper, Garrett Coleman and Glen Neal scored one rushing touchdown apiece.

Class A No. 18 Trail (5-3) looks to solidify a possible playoff berth when it travels to No. 9 Valley (7-1) Friday.

The Greyhounds earned a 24-14 win over Richwood last week.


Meadow Bridge 34

Mount View 12

Jake Parker rushed for 214 yards and three touchdowns (11, 9 and 3 yards) to lead Class A No. 12 Meadow Bridge past Class AA foe Mount View Friday.

Ryan Church added one rushing touchdown and Marvin Bragg returned an interception 30 yards for another score for the Wildcats.

Parker was also stellar on the defensive side of the ball with 16 tackles, while Kyle Killen had 12 stops.

No. 12 Meadow Bridge (7-2) travels to Sherman Friday to close out the regular season.
