Senior Wes Stowers turned in a third-place finish at the recent George Washington Invitational cross country meet at Tornado.
George Washington’s Matthew Brafford won the boys 5-K (3.1 miles) race in 15 minutes, 48.17 seconds. Stowers had a clocking of 16:37.04.
Oak Hill teammates following Stowers were: Cody Gillespie, eighth, 16:56.94; Tony Tredway, 23rd, 18:02.81; Joel Bracken, 39th, 18:41.38; and Daniel Pritt, 43rd, 18:48.4.
The Red Devils scored 112 points to place third in the team race behind Ripley (72) and Huntington (110).
The Oak Hill girls were represented by Sierra Seay (28th in 23:41.13) and Tierra Roop (38th in 24:38.04).
Winner Peyton Panger, of Capital, had a time of 19:19.17.
