Two Oak Hill boxers will be featured in special professional bouts as part of the 14th annual Budweiser Original Toughman Contest, which will be held Nov. 2-3 at the State Fair Grounds in Fairlea.
On Nov. 2, Shawn “The Thrill of Oak Hill” Laughery (2-0) will fight “Tiger” Mike Wilmer (3-3) of Greenbrier County in a four-round light heavyweight bout. On Nov. 3, fight fans will be treated to a 10-round WV state cruiserweight title fight, when reigning champion Bobby Thomas, Jr. (11-1), of Oak Hill, defends his title against the No. 1-ranked contender, Warren Browning (16-2-1), of Lenore.
All four featured pro fighters are former Toughman champs.

All applicants must be in good physical condition.
The weight divisions for both men and women are: lightweight (139 pounds and under), middleweight (140-159), light heavyweight (160-184) and heavyweight (185-400).

Topographical maps of 23 West Virginia wildlife management areas are now available online, according to Frank Jezioro, director of the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources. The maps, featuring boundaries, contour lines, water features, roads and trails were produced by the DNR Wildlife Resources Section.
“These maps should be a great help to hunters this fall when they head out into the woods,” said Jezioro. “Anglers and those just interested in getting outdoors and exploring one of the areas should also find them useful.”
Maps for areas around the state are available in different formats and resolutions to accommodate different Internet speeds. To view or print a map, go to www.wvdnr.gov and click on “New WMA Topo Maps” under “Hunting.”
