The "Poker Run for Paul" will be presented by the Iron Pigs M/C New River Chapter on July 27.

All money raised will go to help with expenses incurred by Paul Wilshire, who was injured in a fall and has been hospitalized with multiple injuries.

The run will begin and end at the Holiday Lodge in Oak Hill.

Registration begins at 10 a.m., with the first bike out at 11 a.m. Last bike in will be no later than 5 p.m.

Cost is $15 for a single rider or $20 for a couple. Also available is $10 for an extra hand, with the option to buy an extra card at the table for $5.

Prizes will be given for best and worst hand.

Dinner will be included following the ride at the Holiday Lodge.

Oak Hill Midget League is having sign-ups for football, cheerleading and dance on July 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants must have a birth certificate and applicable fees. Physicals are due at the first practice.

Anyone interested in coaching is asked to see a board member during sign-ups or send a letter of intent addressed to OHMFL, Box 207, Oak Hill, WV 25901.

Mega Pro Wrestling will hold its second card at the old Gauley Bridge High School on Friday, July 19. Highlighting the event will be the ongoing tournament to crown an extreme heavyweight champion.

Ricky Morton will battle Kevin Sullivan, with the winner advancing to the finals. On the other half of the brackets, Ivan Koloff will face Andrew Anderson in a Russian chain match.

Also, MPW heavyweight champion Eric Steel will defend his title against Matt Canard. Serving as guest referee will be former Extreme Championship Wrestling champ Shane Douglas.

In other matches, Shane Mathews will go up against Smokey C and Jason “The Gift” Kincaid will take on Zac Vincent.

Opening bell time will be 8 p.m. Doors will open for a VIP session at 7 p.m. and for all others at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 for VIP (early entrance and meet-and-greet), $15 front row, $12 ringside, $10 general admission and $7 for children ages 6-13. Children 6-and-under get in free.

MPW, in conjunction with Union Mission, will have a canned food drive. Any fan who brings in a non-perishable canned food will get a free meet-and-greet with Shane Douglas and Kevin Sullivan.
