The 4th annual Turkey Trot, a 5K Run and 2-mile Walk, is set for Thanksgiving Day, beginning at 8 a.m. in Oak Hill.
Registration opens at 7 a.m. and both the run and walk begin at 8 a.m. at Active Fitness Center.
Entry fee is 10 items of non-perishable food or $20. All proceeds from the event benefit the Fayette Plateau Ministerial Association Food Pantry.
Food donations also are being accepted at all Active Fitness Center locations.
The annual Turkey Trot is presented by Active Fitness Center and Plateau Medical Center, and is sponsored by New River Mountain Guides, Tom’s Carryout, Gorge-ous Hair Design, Pies & Pints, and Jan-Care Ambulance.
