Terri’s Tribute stages successful golf event; presents scholarship

The fourth annual Terri’s Tribute Golf Tournament, held Saturday at Bridge Haven Golf Club, was “our most successful tournament to date,” said Terri’s Tribute representative Cindy Whitlock.

On the day, numerous foursomes came out to play a round of golf and raise funds for Terri’s Tribute. Terri’s Tribute, organized as a memorial to Terri Treadway Massey, who lost a four-year cancer battle in 2009, uses the golf tournament as its major fundraiser.

Also Saturday, Terri’s Tribute presented its first scholarship to Fayetteville High graduate Mark Morrison.

Organizers thanked the event sponsor, C. Adam Toney Tires, host Bridge Haven, Gerry Hildebrand, Pasquali Mira’s, 49 hole sponsors and miscellaneous door prize sponsors for making the event

Winners were:

-- 1st place — Alan Brinegar, Jack and Val Holt and Jeff Kuhlman;

-- 2nd place — Keith and Pat Connor, Robert Lively and Nathaniel Begley; and

-- 3rd place — John Bridi, Clarence Mizell, Stan Selden and Ross Hageman.

Interested people are encouraged to ‘friend’ Terri’s Tribute on Facebook.
