Collins enjoying soccer success


— On Sept. 25, the Collins Middle School soccer team earned a 2-0 win over visiting Park Middle.

Mackenzie Miller and Ian McDonald scored one goal each for CMS. Miller assisted on McDonald’s goal.

The jayvee team won 2-1, with Maddy Surface scoring both goals.

Mackenzie Miller netted both scores as the Little Devils got by Stratton on Sept. 23.

Dylan Massey and Tanner Harris provided one assist each.

The JV team won 4-1.

Summersville 1


Mackenzie Miller had a hat trick (scoring three goals) for the winners. Tanner Harris scored twice, and Rodell Allen, Jason Manns and Isiah Turner supplied one goal apiece.

Braden Robinson, Ian McDonald and Taylor Miavitz each had an assist.

Providing the lone goal in the setback for Collins was Mackenzie Miller.

The jayvee contest ended in a 0-0 draw.

Collins earned the win at home in the season opener.
