Bridgemont Community and Technical College in Montgomery hosted young women from across the region for “Introduce A Girl To Engineering Day 2010” on Thursday. The event increases awareness of the profession and celebrates past and present engineering achievements of women. The aim was to let participants realize engineering could be a possible career, and provide them the knowledge to start laying the foundation for reaching that goal. Here, Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School’s McCayla Greenwood, center, was among those taking part. For a wrap-up of the event, see a future issue.
