A Montgomery man was arrested  multiple drug violations, according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.

Michael Lee Chadwell was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, Sheriff Steve Kessler said.

The charges were a result of police receiving notice of a man in the area of Fourth Avenue attempting to sell drugs.

Police found a small cylinder concealed inside Chadwell’s clothing that contained two different types of prescription medication. The suspect told police that he had found the container and stated he did not know what the medications were, adding they hadn’t been prescribed to him, police said.

Sgt. S.M. Gray and Cpl. R.K. Perdue conducted the investigation. Chadwell was arraigned and released on $50,000 bond.
