OAK HILL — An early morning accident Friday resulted in injuries to several individuals.
According to Oak Hill Police Lt. Chuck Williams, the collision occurred when one vehicle rear-ended another. The accident happened after 6 a.m. near the portion of U.S. Rte. 19 where a temporary flashing traffic signal was installed yesterday to aid in construction of the new Lochgelly interchange.
Williams was unsure who was involved or the extent of the injuries.
An investigation by Patrolman Chris Young is ongoing.
Williams stresses motorists simply need to exercise more caution in highway construction zones.
“Drivers just need to slow down and pay attention to what the traffic signals say,” he said. “They need to really pay attention when they’re going through an area like that.”
