Below is a brief look at recent activity involving the Fayette County Sheriff's Department:
• A Fayetteville man is facing drug charges in Fayette County, according to Sheriff Mike Fridley.
On Sept. 21, a Fayette County sheriff's deputy was conducting traffic enforcement on U.S. Route 19 in the Hilltop area. The deputy executed a stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction. After consent to search was granted, a quantity of heroin and methamphetamines was located concealed on the driver's person. Scales and a quantity of cash were also discovered.
Todd Matthew Boucino, 50, of Fayetteville, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver narcotics. It was also determined that Boucino has an outstanding bench warrant out of Fayette County Circuit Court. He will now await court proceedings.
• Fridley reported that a Pax man is facing a list of charges.
On Sept. 21, a Fayette County deputy was dispatched to the Corner Store in Pax regarding a shoplifting complaint. Upon the deputy's arrival, the suspect had left the scene, but was positively identified by the staff. The deputy located the man walking nearby a short time later.
Phillip Endicott, of Pax, was arrested for petit larceny regarding theft from the store. Endicott also had outstanding warrants for a late August breaking and entering complaint that had occurred on church property in Pax. The charges from that incident are felony breaking and entering, conspiracy (misdemeanor), and destruction of property.
He will now await court proceedings for the charges in both incidents.
• Three Fayette residents were arrested on drug charges recently.
At around midnight on Sept. 19, a Fayette County deputy was conducting a follow-up investigation into a previous complaint of a stolen ATV in Lookout. As the deputy approached a garage, three occupants began to shuffle around as if to conceal something. Following a consent to search by the homeowner, deputies located multiple bags of methamphetamines, heroin and marijuana, along with scales and packaging materials.
Christopher Carver, John Workman Jr. and Hannah Burke, all of Lookout, were arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver narcotics and conspiracy to commit a felony. They will now await court proceedings.
