Coda Mountain Academy, located in Fayette County, is set to kick off its summer season Monday, offering four different high-caliber camps.
According to a press release from Coda Mountain Academy officials, there is still time to sign up for one or more of the summer camps featuring art, music, drama, Lego robotics, engineering and science. Coda is also seeking donations to help provide scholarships to Fayette County students to attend the camps.
CODA FINE ARTS
Due to its popularity and high enrollment, Coda Kidz Music, Art and Drama is now offering two weeks of camp — Coda Fine Arts Kidz and Coda Fine Arts.
The 2019 theme is "Coda on Broadway," and students will be playing and singing selections from favorite Broadway musicals, including Annie, The Sound of Music, Lion King, Mary Poppins, and more.
Activities for both camps will include rhythm, choir, art, and drama classes in addition to lessons on either guitar, ukulele, violin, viola, or cello. Coda Fina Arts will also have music theory and food art.
• Coda Fine Arts Kidz Camp (Ages 4- 9)
The camp will take place July 15-19, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Cost for the camp us $150.
• Coda Fine Arts Camp (Ages 10 – 15)
This camp will take place from July 22-26, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cost for the camp is $175.
There will be a concert on the evening of the last day of each camp, which will also be held at camp facilities.
These two camps will take place at Fayetteville Christ Fellowship and The Coda Center located at 2588 Maple Ave. in Fayetteville.

CODA EXPLORE CAMPS
Students will build and program Lego robots, and learn about engineering and science through hands-on activities and interactive games at these two camps.
This year’s theme is power and alternative energy. Students will work with or build windmills, solar ovens, hydro power experiments and much more. Learning outdoor survival skills is also on tap.
• Coda Explore Kidz (Grades k-5):
This camp will take place June 10-14, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cost for the camp is $150.
• Coda Explore (Grades 6-12):
This camp will take place June 17-21, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cost for the camp is also $150.
These camps will be at Fayetteville Christ Fellowship located at 2588 Maple Ave. in Fayetteville and the Coda Center, which is located next door to Fayetteville Christ Fellowship.
