Six Fayette County athletes entered the career 1,000-point scoring club during the recently-concluded high school basketball season. They were as follows:

Jenny Wilson, Midland Trail — Wilson entered the 1,000-point club during a 67-35 win over Valley on Jan. 25.

Hannah Foster, Valley — Foster scored her 1,000th point in a 56-30 loss to Midland Trail on Tuesday, Dec. 18.

Jared Gladwell, Meadow Bridge — Gladwell surpassed the barrier during a 61-56 win over Hundred on Feb. 2. He closed out his career with 1,120 points.

Kobe Rozell, Meadow Bridge — Rozell's entry into the elite club occurred during a 55-53 loss at Montcalm on Feb. 20. He scored 1,008 points for his career.

Luke Vass, Fayetteville — Vass surpassed the 1,000-point barrier in a 66-62 win over Meadow Bridge on Feb.12. He ended up with 1,069 career points.

Andrew Work, Oak Hill — Work reached the coveted plateau during a 71-59 loss at Fairmont Senior on Jan. 26. He finished his career with 1,226 points, good enough for eighth on the all-time OHHS list.

The Oak Hill High boys top 10 career scoring list is as follows: Kalif Wright, 1,690; Romel "Stuff" Lynch, 1,536; Cornelius Jackson, 1,487; P.G. Greene, 1,450; Chris Lawson, 1,314; Tracy Shelton, 1,311; Tim McMillan, 1,256; Andrew Work, 1,226; Mike Sulesky, 1,108; and John Lafferty, 1,033.

The list of Midland Trail High girls reaching the 1,000-point career scoring level includes: Robyn Kessler, in 1982; Kristi Dufour, 1990; Denece Hedrick, 1994; Nancy Flournoy, 1997; Jamie Flournoy, 2000; Valerie McGraw, 2002; Amy Carte, 2006; Allison Syner, 2012; and Jenny Wilson, 2019.
