Eli Allen caught two touchdown passes as Class A co-No. 5 James Monroe defeated visiting Midland Trail, 20-7, on Oct. 15.

Allen's touchdown catches came from two passers — Cooper Ridgeway and Layton Dowdy. Allen had three receptions for 88 yards on the night.

Robert Ruffner ran for 95 yards and Aden Isaacs scored the Patriots' lone TD on a 39-yard run.

Midland Trail, 3-4 after a 35-14 win over Summers County on Monday, will visit Richwood on Friday, Oct. 22.

Meadow Bridge 18

The Wildcats lost to the Lumberjacks on the road on Tuesday, Oct. 19.

For Meadow Bridge, Dustin Adkins passed for 257 yards and ran for 46 more to power the offense. He was 20 of 38 for 257 yards, one touchdown and one interception, while he rushed nine times for 46 yards and two scores.

James McClure hauled in nine passes for 142 yards, Conner Mullins had four catches for 47 yards, and Seaton Mullins caught four passes for 34 yards, including an 11-yard TD from Adkins.

Meadow Bridge (3-4) will travel to Montcalm on Friday.

Meadow Bridge captured its second straight victory on Friday, Oct. 15 to improve to 3-3.

Dustin Adkins (9 of 20 for 222 yards and one interception) completed three touchdown passes on the night. He connected with Conner Mullins on scores covering 45 and 43 yards, then he teamed up with Devon Brown on an 89-yard scoring hookup.

Conner Mullins and Seaton Mullins each provided a two-point conversion run.

Conner Mullins caught three passes for 93 yards, Brown one for 89, and James McClure four for 31.

Brown rushed for 25 yards and Landon James 22.
