On June 7, New Haven CEOS met in the home of Lucille Secrist at Edmond for a delicious luncheon.
Rhoda Hofstetter, the club’s only 50-year member, presented a most interesting and informative program, “Healthy Feet for an Active Life.”
She spoke of the need for correct size and fitting of shoes and socks, cleanliness and proper drying of feet and the wearing of the right shoes for the activity planned.
She gave several tips for keeping feet healthy, and she emphasized seeing a specialist if pain or other problems arise.
She described the correct trimming of toenails to prevent ingrown nails and displayed shoe trees and shoe horns and explained their purposes.
She also demonstrated how to stand properly while posing for a picture to look thinner and make a better appearance.
Rhoda finished with this thought: “Be good to your feet and they will be good to you.”
