The Wildcats improved to 2-0 with the shutout.
“We’re beginning to jell,” said Meadow Bridge coach Joe Bennett. “They were hard to score on.
“They’re a good, well-coached ball club.”
For Meadow Bridge, Alex Redden scored on a 52-yard run, Bryan Gwinn reached paydirt on a 95-yard gallop, and Tyler Bennett found the end zone on a 54-yard dash. Bennett provided the two-point run on his TD.
Bennett rushed eight times for 112 yards, Gwinn collected 111 stripes on seven carries, and Redden picked up 38 yards in four attempts.
Bennett was in on 26 tackles, as well as recovering a fumble, to pace the defense. Devonte Deramus picked off a Glenwood pass.
“Our defense came through for us in critical situations,” said coach Bennett.
Meadow Bridge hosts Mount Hope at 6 p.m. Thursday.
