In last week's middle school football action, Midland Trail cruised to a 62-0 win at Richwood.
For the Midland Trail offense, Jayden Roop had eight carries for 100 yards and three touchdowns (7, 35 and 50 yards). Kaden Lephew ran five times for 144 yards, with TD runs covering 65 and 32 yards.
Also, Juan Pecina rushed three times for 115 yards, including a 45-yard score, Maximus White gained 57 yards on three tries, and Aiden Maichle supplied a 2-yard rushing touchdown and passed 7 yards to Grady Jackson for another six-pointer.
The Patriots amassed 418 rushing yards.
For the Trail defensive unit, Colton Walkup registered eight tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery to lead the way. Roop had four stops, a sack and a forced fumble, Kordell Brown logged 3.5 tackles, Jackson had three tackles, and Pecina defended two passes.
