The Red Devil boys blasted the Warriors in a road contest Wednesday.
Dustin Nuckels pitched a two-hitter while adding a 3-for-5, one RBI day at the plate for Oak Hill. DeAndré Leonard was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, with David Schoolcraft and Jay Lambert (double) adding two hits each.
Fayetteville 8, Summers County 4
J.P. Blankenship went 3-for-3 with a double to pace the Pirates in a home win Wednesday.
Aaron Krise, Brandon Doyle and Mark Braskey had a pair of hits each for Fayetteville (10-2). Krise, Doyle and Braskey had a double apiece.
Briseon Huffman had three hits for the Bobcats.
Braskey earned the mound win, with relief help from Doyle and Nich Carte.
Woodrow Wilson 2-9, Fayetteville 1-4
The Flying Eagles completed a doubleheader sweep of the Pirate girls Wednesday.
Arienne McCauley struck out nine batters and helped herself with a game-wining RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh in the first game to lead Woodrow to a 2-1 win.
In the second game, the Flying Eagles took a 9-4 win with Kasey Mitchem, Jasmine Woods and Kristen Rutledge contributing two hits apiece.
Brantlea Wood got the win, striking out eight batters, and McCauley was credited with a save, striking out three more.
