Coach Steve Barrett, the women’s soccer coach at Concord University, will conduct two soccer camps at Midland Trail High School.

The dates for these camps are July 23-27. A camp for middle school students will be conducted in the mornings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and then from 9-11 a.m. on Friday. A camp for high school students will be conducted in the evenings from 4-8 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and then from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday.

Boys and girls may participate in either camp.

Cost of the camp is $125.

The Concord University women’s basketball program will be hold a one-day basketball skill camp July 21. The camp is for girls who will be in grades 8-12 next school year.

Concord University and Fayetteville High School will co-sponsor an intermediate tennis clinic this summer at the FHS tennis courts.

The intermediate clinic will be July 18-20 with a rain date of July 21. Cost is $35.

The Princeton Devil Rays professional baseball team will conduct its 12th annual youth baseball clinic for boys and girls ages 7-15 on Saturday, July 28 from 9:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Hunnicutt Field in Princeton.

Each camper will receive a P-Rays clinic T-shirt (courtesy of Newberry Ford and The Lewis Agency), a bat bag, a wiffleball bat, a baseball, and free admission to a P-Rays home game on July 28.

Cost of the camp is $25 per camper. Paid pre-registration is encouraged and all participants that are registered and paid in full before July 16 will receive their T-shirts on the day of the event.

A basketball camp for young ladies will be held at the University of Charleston this summer. UC women’s head coach Sherry Winn will host the camp at the Eddie King Gym on the Charleston campus.

Girls entering grades 6–12 can participate in a three-day camp to be held June 28–30. This camp will welcome both commuter and overnight campers. Cost is set at $120 for commuters, $150 for those who stay overnight.

Mountain State University basketball camps, under the direction of head coach Bob Bolen and assistant coaches Dave Barksdale and Artis Maddox, will be held several weeks during the summer. Remaining camps are as follows:

-- July 2-3, 5-7: individual sessions for boys and girls going into the fourth through 12th grades;

-- July 9-13: boys going into the eighth through 12th grades;

-- July 16-20: girls going into the eighth through 12th grades.
