Oak Hill High School rising junior Erin Wilson is enjoying a solid showing in travel softball play this summer.
Wilson recently earned an MVP award for her performance in a 20-team fast pitch softball tournament in Greensboro, N.C. The award, voted on by the opposing team, came on the heels of a two-hit, 2-0 shutout of the Triad (N.C.) Twisters.
After two tourneys, Wilson and her teammates own a 10-3 record.
In addition to her pitching performance, which includes no losses on the mound, Wilson leads the team with a .545 batting average.
